Hellooo, I’m Somiya - you can call me Som.

I’m your go-to person for all things comms and culture. I help leaders and companies speak to their people with courage, clarity and care.

With a background in psychology and HR, I’ve spent the past seven years shaping messages that actually connect. My hot take: I think it’s time we move away from corporate-speak and just say it like it is and say it well. People value honesty, and they can smell spin a mile away.

I turn clunky updates into movements, strategies into stories people actually want to hear, and campaigns into experiences that build trust and belonging. I’ve worked through the messiness of change, translated tech-speak into everyday language, and guided people through the uncertainty of M&A. I’ve also created big moments, like global townhalls that leave thousands feeling more connected, as well as smaller gatherings that make people say, this was worth my time.

I’m also a yoga and meditation teacher, and at the heart of it all, I craft experiences that make people feel seen, heard, valued and part of something bigger than themselves.

  • Leading through change

    Change is an inevitable part of a company's growth, but for it's people, it can feel uncomfortable and unnerving. In transformational moments from M&A to behavioural shifts, people look to leaders for clarity and reassurance. I help leaders speak with confidence and empathy through those times, so their teams feel guided, not lost.

  • Campaigns that connect

    Messages only land if people feel connected to them. When campaigns are bland or out of context, they are bound to get ignored. I bring values, culture, and purpose to life through creative, human-centred campaigns that feel relevant, timely, and consistent, sparking the right kind of engagement that lasts.

  • Events and experiences

    People won’t remember what you present to them. What stays with them is the experience, maybe the moment they felt included, inspired, or thought "that was damn nice". From townhalls to onboarding journeys, I design experiences that inform, connect, and make people feel like teammates, not just employees.

  • Making the complex simple

    We all know that feeling when a wall of text makes us click away. Policies, IT updates, compliance, and safety aren’t optional reads, but they shouldn’t feel like punishment to read either. I turn the heavy stuff into clear, trustworthy language that people actually understand and act on.
